01

Rough drafts

How detailed must my floor plan be to submit?

  • All you need to provide Redesigning Places & Spaces (RPS) is a pencil-sketched or computer-created floor plan with clearly marked dimensions. While the plan does not have to be drawn to scale, the dimensions for walls, ceiling height, and door and window placements must be accurate.

  • Note: The full length of a room is measured three times for precision: once at each end and once in the middle. The same applies to the width of the room if it is extremely wide.

02

Photos, wall art, soft decor

May I provide photos of my favorite wall art, decor and/or furniture:

  • Yes, please provide photos of any wall art, furniture and soft decor you love and hope to use as these may be essential elements incorporated into your home. You will be able to upload them when filling out your private questionnaire once you book each SERVICE.

Written report & floorplan

If I purchase a SERVICE which includes my designer's written report and recommended floorplan, will I have access to these files?

  • Yes, during your Zoom session, your designer will review both files with you. After the session (which may include any adjustments discussed), you will receive the final set via email for your personal reference.

Combining households

My partner and I have decided after many years to move into a home together.  We both have our 'favorites' from each of our own homes but find they don't seem to blend well together. How will your session be conducted so both people feel they have had a part in the final design?

  • Combining Households is one of the extremely popular services offered by RPS. Our approach begins preferrably:without knowing which items belong to which partner.  We serve as a neutral facilitor in design as you, your partner and your RPS designer work together using design, functionality and logic as the basis for the home in which you both will find enjoyment.

Poor accoustics

We have  extremely poor accoustics in our home.  Will your recommendations address this and solve this issue?

  • We work with this issue frequently as there are several contributing factors to this  problem many of which can be resolved with little effort.

06

A dull & uninspiring home

Our home seems lifeless and unexciting.  Can you help us?

  • A dull and uninspiring home often results from what we refer to as 'dead zones' which can significantly detract from the potential charm of an otherwise beautiful room - no matter how large or small the room/home is. The solutions are easy.  This is why we do what we do and love what we do for you.

Continued discussions

After our Zoom session followed by RPS's written report, may I schedule another session regarding the same room? I've purchased a few new items and want to know if they will work in our new redesign.

  • Absolutely.  With your original invoice number applicable to the room in question, simply book the SERVICE - More, Please at a savings to you.
